2010 PUNCHES US IN THE FACE!
In a good way...

Yes. Yes it did. So, what do you get when you take a great product, add an improved development methodology, add a new support system, add a strategic marketing manager, and a couple of new support gurus?

You get the current incarnation of Copper, along with a roadmap to an amazing array of new features and opportunities that 12 months ago I frankly thought wasn't possible. It's kind of like adding Ringo to The Beatles, Bon Scott to ACDC, Johnny Greenwood to Radiohead, or the electric guitar to Dylan (too far?).

What does the new structure mean for you? For our hosted customers the Copper product is better than ever, we're more attentive to the needs of our customers, and the Copper community is thriving. For our license customers, We've moved our licensing options to a POA offering, introduced new maintenance options to keep your build current, and our new dev team is fulfilling orders on tailored modifications and getting ready to add those features we're currently discussing in the new Copper Community. For everyone else, its time to take another look at getting your team organized with Copper.

Here are the changes for Version 4.1.7 (launched 12 March 2010):
* Enhanced date functions
* Gantt Timeline Milestone dragging.
* Provisions for Avatars, due for release in next month's updates. Stay tuned!

We're offering an amnesty upgrade to previous Copper License holders.

    This is what happened. A couple of weeks ago we were contacted by a customer from 2004 (well, they were in 2010 but you get my meaning) looking to move to the new version. They were nice so we did a deal to upgrade them to v4 from their 2.5 version, with all their data intact. Boom! Like ships in the night we reconnected, traded beads and livestock, and everyone was happy (The livestock not so much).

    We were happy because we got to move them to a better product, and they were happy because they were instantly 40% more productive.

    Out of this happiness we felt we'd like to reconnect with more of you, so we decided to offer a once in a lifetime offer for pre-v4 Copper customers. The folks in Accounts have staged a walk-out but we are sticking to our guns!
