UPDATES TO VERSION 4.01!
Challenge: 30 seconds to create a fully fledged Project!

OK, we admit it. We had a few little teething issues with version 4 on release, but now it seems we've resolved these issues and we're now firing on all cylinders. On the plus side the new version is blazing and we're hearing really positive stories about how it's making a real difference to people.

The hard work doesn't stop however. Over the last few weeks we've added a whole raft of little things, such as:

  • Page optimization and Quicker UI. Enjoy quick-fire editing/saving/deleting/sorting of tasks and comments in the Projects and Springboard views. And we've sped up all pages in some cases by 700%!!!.
    Here is the challenge: Create a new project with 10 tasks in under 30 seconds. 32 seconds is the record!
  • Formatting options. Set your own header, logo, and login image options for your Copper
  • Rollup Project Details. You can now roll up project details for neater project presentation
  • Bug fixes! Yes, we've fixed a number of annoying little glitches, and we're happy to announce 4.01 is here :)

Next up we're adding a reworked file management feature, adding drag and drop folders and improving the upload widget. Expect that in the coming weeks.

One code base, One happy CEO.

Every year we undertake a survey to understand our customers, products, and services a little better. The results from this survey directly affect which new features we develop, how much we charge, and generally where we direct our next 12 months of effort. It is a crucial step in making Copper and other products as good as they can be.

Being crucial for us, we offer a prize to the most honest answer. Why most honest? Because we can't afford to have anything other than total honesty from our customers, so in the past the most frank feedback has won, and at other times the most inspired idea has secured the booty!

One of the problems with having different versions across our product base has been the double and sometimes triple handling of issues and enhancements.

So we've decided to start moving all of our accounts to a single code base. That means a single product, a single set of features, and the option to simply purchase a subscription according to how many users you require.

To be transparent about this we'll need to make sure that we can still operate at a profit, so we'll not be moving Standard accounts ($29/mth for 15 users) to this code base just yet, however next cab off the rank is our Studio offering ($49/mth for 25 users). We'll be migrating these studio accounts on the 14th September.

All accounts are still on our blazing fast MediaTemple servers, and as per above we have a number of new exciting features/optimizations coming over the coming weeks.
