I need to setup user permissions so the users can only see their own tasks and be able to upload files and make comments.

In 'Edit Permissions' section i have:
Projects : Deny
File : Write

The problem is that the users see their tasks but when 'project' tab is enabled, so when they click on it they get '
Error:
You do not have permission to access this module'.
Same issue with the 'files' tab.

Thanks in advance, n

Hi Nikola,

In order to allow what you describe, you only need to allocate a task to a user.

No need to set permissions for client/projects specifically.

Thanks.

OK, in that case you would just Deny those two modules, so they wouldn't appear in the menu selection. As you point out though if there is an internal link to another project/client, the user is restricted.

I tried that, but then the files tab disappears, so then the user is unable to upload files for the selected project.

And a second question.
Can i modify the default settings to each new user, so that each new account becomes a member of the 'clients' group and the home page defaults to module=springboard instead of module=profile

thanks again

Hey Nikola,

For those restricted user settings at the moment, you can only comment on tasks when allocated, not edit them or upload new files. We'll look at changing this down the road.

Regarding your second question, it is possible to modify those default settings. You'd need a licensed version and some good php skills!

Great, thank you.
About moding the files, i set 'CU_DEFAULT_MODULE' to the module i wanted, but still, every new user gets redirected to 'profile' module.
