Hey Copper Team,
I noticed that if I click "Edit" or "Delete" when viewing the expanded view of a task in Springboard, it takes me to the task details page - although I was expecting it to refresh the Springboard view and either delete the comment, or populate the fields with the info so I could edit them accordingly.
I'm wondering if that would make more sense from a usability perspective?
Thanks,
Jason |

Hi Jason,
The springboard is designed to allow quick review of task details and comment history, but not the editing/deleting of the task information.
So to reduce redundancy we've kept those functions to the task view (it also makes sense to move people to that area to edit/delete/manage other related tasks).
We'll keep it in mind though. I hope this helps. |

Thanks for the feedback Ben, I appreciate it...as a side note, it would seem that if the idea is to only provide task details and comment history at a glance in the Springboard, ALL task functions should be relegated to the task view itself - but since Copper allows users to add time/comments from the Springboard, I was expecting the edit/delete functionality to keep me in that active space in the Springboard too.
I guess it was just confusing at first...naturally, once I realize how the system works, it's easy enough to just accept I'll be taken to the task view when I want to edit/delete an entry from the Springboard, but it would seem more usable to have ALL task funtions relegated to the task view, or have them available in both spots (Springboard and Task View).
Just a few thoughts...thanks again!
Regards,
Jason |
