Hi,
Wondering how people are using copper with regard to tasks and requests coming in through email.
Are you manually copy/pasting into copper?
Is there some way to hit an F key and make an email you are reading get sent to a project in copper?
Just curious how anyone is streamlining this process.
Thanks. |

This is exactly what i'm looking for:
1 - to respond to a regular client's email and cc a copy to a given project and topic/task
Also, whilst i'm at it,
2 - to receive messages from CopperP via email and reply straight back to the Project, WITHOUT having to log into the web app.
3 - to create a new Task from my email (or smartphone) and post it to a given project.
with start+end date, and description.
4 - To cc or send files and assign folders and task, together with description.
This might sound asking too much, but we've tried using similar web based project management solutions before, but wasted way too much time login in, waiting for the given page to render ,etc...
We NEED to work super fast, and emailing, (and using our mobile phones) could make your application a killer app. |

Not asking too much at all! We've already specced this component of Copper, and will be delivering it as soon as budget allows. This means the more who come on board in support of the product the quicker new features can be delivered. |

We won't be entering into a new development until the budget for this last development effort has been recouped.
We can always deliver customized solutions, but we're not starting any new version any time soon.
The Standard version is the 2007 Corporate edition, so it also won't be getting any new features just yet. At $499 it represents AMAZING value |

email integration appears to be essential for lots of users (of copper) and other web based solutions offer this already.
since (following up) communication is truly a core issue to keep a project transparent i would highly recommend functionalities as discribed above.
plus
i can understand that your approach is, to keep copper user friendly. this said i believe it will not stress your customers but instead be a feature that could be interesting on a simple roi point of view. |

Definitely our observation too ms, and while I wouldn't necessarily call it 'essential' it certainly is high on our request list, and will be the next major feature to be added to Copper.
Continued support from our customers ensures the features are added within our framework/philosophy. |
