When I add a task dependency, the start date of a project does not change. Ie.. "Task 'B' starts when task 'A' ends" Is there a way to do this? Or is this planned?
Thanks |

The problem with other project management tools (and something we've been keen to avoid) is that they make key assumptions and in some cases shift your timeline accordingly. The result is often frustrating, and would probably be moreso when you take into consideration resources you've added to a task (e.g. if the task shifts and some of the resources aren't available for the new date, should you still change it?)
So this is intentional, we'd rather Copper allow you to set the timeline the way you want, set your dependencies (that Copper will track but never change), and then shift your timeline if you run into a mismatch of timing/resources.
Hope this helps. |
