We have numerous clients that have contacts spread over different locations and I'd like to capture the mailing addresses for those different contacts. Rather than just sticking it in the notes, I'd like to add fields to the DB and form to capture that information.
I've been picking through the code, making modifications where I believe they are supposed to go, but I can't seem to get it functioning, which leads to believe that I'm missing some key point(s).
What I've done thusfar:
Added a test field to the contacts table
Added a field to the form in the template
Modified the statements in the SQL file
Modified displayform() and savecontact()
I assume I'm missing something critical in making this work. |

ok, so I've figured out that what I'm having issues with is getting data from the form and writing it to the DB, but I'm rather lost as I don't see why it's not working.
Any thoughts? |
