Hello! Question about the email alerts.

I believe we have selected all of the correct options within the Administration Interface so when a user is assigned to own a task they should get an email alert, but its still not working for us.

Can you help us out with this? Anyone have any suggestions as to what we could be doing wrong?

If you have everything set up in the ADMIN mode check the individual users. Right above the option to making a user a "resourse" there is a check box asking if the user will accept email notifications.

Hi Tara,

In order for email notifications to work, you'll need to turn them on in Admin->Settings by toggling each from 'Off' and choosing the number of day's from the pull down menu.

Thanks for checking that out Travis.

I guess our main question is, is there any way to get an email automatically sent when you assign an owner to a task?

The only way I can get it to automatically send an email is when I assign someone as a resource to the task which is great because they're constantly updated whenever someone makes a comment in that task.

Now that you've given me the tip I can also get the system to email people before the task is due and after its due, but I think it would be better to just email them when I make them the task owner.

Does that make sense?
