Although I have entered my clients and associated them with my client, none of the contacts are showing up under my Project pane in the Allocated Resources widget.

I tried viewing them using IE, but that doesn't make a difference. Is there something I should be doing so they'll show up Question

I figured it out. Contacts don't show up as potential project resources. Only users created in the Administration area are added to the list of Allocated Resources.

However, when you look at your list of names under the Contacts Area, you'll see what looks like a double entry for some contacts. One of the duplicates has "(user)" next to the name and you'll notice that the user's name is not hyperlinked to their profile. It seems a bit redundant. Would be interesting to understand the logic behind it.

You hit the nail on the head, only users can be allocated to tasks (thus allowing them to login and collaborate). Contacts are just arbitrary contacts related to a project that don't have login access (subcontractors, suppliers etc, that may be needed by project participants in the course of their duties).
