Is there anything in the mix for a user to clock in to a task and clock out when they have completed it. Possibly an admin option for admin to specify whether their workflow is clock in/clock out, or time entry. I know that in my company workflow, my employees would much rather log into a job and log out when they move on to something else rather than having to keep track of what time they started, what time they finished and how many hours were worked.
I was going to code it into my existing 2006, but wanted to see if there was anything in 2008 or in the mix for future developement. |

There has been the odd request here or there, with most users option for a stopwatch/clock approach, however in terms of priority it has always been down the list.
It wouldn't take much to add a little start/stop timer to the springboard, we'll keep it in mind. In the mean time if anyone is interested in this post here of get in touch and we can build it under customization.

| I am very keen on this and have already started on a (now quite) complex task based stop watch. I just need to do some SQL tuning so that tasks are only shown to each user when the project is 'in progress' and dependencies are 100%. |
