As per thread title, is it possible to link projects ?
MS Project has the ability to link projects to a master project, or key tasks within a project to a master project.
Can Copper do anything along those lines ?
A client of mine in Holland wants to do this to manage several complex sub-projects under one master project and, so far, I've been unable to find an easy way to achieve this using Copper.
Any suggestions appreciated. |

I am new to Copper, but I wonder if the sub-tasks that allow allocation of different resources are not suitable. With a suitably broad project description at the top.
Is there a reason that using the sub-tasks in Copper is too clunky? (I am currently evaluating copper for my company) |

You sure can link projects, it is termed Related Projects within copper. From within a project you can edit it to add a related project, thereafter when you view the timeline that related project is also viewable in the timeline.
MikeW, the subtasks function isn't clunky, it behaves the same way other tools dictate, you select one or more tasks, hit the indent button (right-arrow) and it creates a subset for you.
Hope this helps! |

Well thanks !
I guess I need to start digging a lot deeper - I didn't find that obvious at all, and I probably wouldn't have stumbled onto it for quite some time.
Thanks again |

| Is there a way to make tasks in a project dependent on a task in a linked project? |

Hmmmmmmm.......
I've been looking and looking and I can't seem to find the "related projects" function.
Where exactly is it ?

In Corporate/Enterprise editions only, go to a project view/edit screen. |
