Hey Copper Team,

I was poking around the Corporate 2008 version of Copper that is now online as the demo, and I'm wondering if I should be considering it the final release version, or are you still working through bugs/issues?

There are a number of things I noticed that weren't working, so any feedback would be great.

As for the items that don't appear to be working, here are a couple I noticed:

    1) Comments added to a task in Springboard view aren't being committed (they don't show up in the Comments list for that task).

    2) The progress bar (% complete) doesn't appear to be working when viewing a project - just the number is displayed (e.g. 54%) and not a visual rep of that number.

Thanks!

COMBINED BUGS FROM OTHER REPORTS:

3. In the springboard, when i collapse an item, i get an unknown runtime error, line 162 using IE6.

In client and project views, i cannot expand an item, using !E6 and IE7.

Expanding/collapsing folders in the File view is without problems.

Copper Corporate 2008 (3.5)

4. Using Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, and Firefox 2.0.0.6 i am unable to use the date chooser in the Springboard (i get Javascri

Hey dman, I noticed that comments still aren't showing up in the Comments list for the specific task when they are added via the Springboard - still a bug?

Thanks in advance...

Hi jm, it seems to be working now for me on the Corporate demo.

Dumb question, but have you definitely set 'write' permissions for Springboard?

i think this is related- i'm also using Corporate 2008 and i do see graphics representing percentage completed, but they are inaccurate- i think they are all 50% of the width they need to be. A task marked 50% complete displays as 25%, and a task marked 95% complete looks like nearly 50% complete.

Thanks all, we're squashing a few bugs and in the next day or two these should be resolved.

Thoughts on the new interface/features in general? Have you checked out the ajax flash and timeline multi-move. Admittedly we need to update our tour, but for this week at least there's some discoveries to be made Smile

Actually, this is working, but the visual representation is just the position of that box within that column. So a project at 100% would show this box hard right, a project at 0% would show it hard left (so its dependent on the project name width). Its really just a visual device, the main thing is the % itself is correct (and incidentally is based on the average % complete of the tasks below).

Thanks for making the fixes. i still get this behavior (although on line 163 now):
Quote:

These items are confirmed fixed:

A user with read-only access to a project can assign resources. At first i thought this was fixed because when i attempted it i got a "Saving data failed" message in the flash object, but the assignment was indeed successful, as indicated on page reload.

Also, i wish we didn't have to "click to activate this control" for flash objects in Internet Explorer. There are javascript methods to get around this: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/popular_topics/click_to_activate/

Sigh, thanks Microsoft!

Ah yes this used to be half the width, so the tooltip is correct but the visualization isn't. Will fix first thing Monday. Will also take a look at the allocation.

Is this just on the springboard or in other views too?

It tests ok for us, but we can check it out.
