Trying to figure out the relationship between the Project Owner and resources compared to the task owner and resources at it pertains to notifications.
Can someone show a quick list of who gets what and when...when it comes to notifications?
For example if a:
New project is created:
Is an E-mail sent to project owner?
Is an E-mail sent to project resources?
New Task is created:
Is an E-mail sent to project owner?
Is an E-mail sent to project resources?
Is an E-mail sent to task owner?
Is an E-mail sent to resources?
Task is updated?
Is an E-mail sent to project owner?
Is an E-mail sent to project resources?
Is an E-mail sent to task owner?
Is an E-mail sent to resources?
Task is completed?
Is an E-mail sent to project owner?
Is an E-mail sent to project resources?
Is an E-mail sent to task owner?
Is an E-mail sent to resources?
Project is completed?
Is an E-mail sent to project owner?
Is an E-mail sent to project resources?

Email notifications are task driven (largely to keep the volume of emails down). If you require different functions for notifications we can add them on request.

Nb: This is just another kind of update.

Some more general notifications info:
In a nutshell notifications go to those who have been allocated to a task. By default, they go out whenever a task is created/edited or a new file is uploaded.
There are various settings for email notification in the admin module (under the settings tab) such as sending notification whenever an update is added, sending one x days before/after a task is due, and sending notifications to task owners.
The email broadcast buttons (in task/project/client screens) simply create a new email in your email program, and cc everyone who has been allocated to the task (or all tasks in a project/client). |
